Jim Stairs With The Squishy Mud Blues Jam Session

Jim Stairs with Squishy Mud Band Blues Jam Session

By Mitzi Beliveau

It was a cold winter night when my friend Jim Stairs said he was starting a new Blues Jam Session on Wednesday night at a new restaurant called Halo’s Restaurant Bar. I enjoy the band and the musicians and singers that come out to support and perform. Some of the best of the Blues music community comes out with Jim Stairs and The Squishy Mud Band.

This Blues Jam Session was at the new restaurant that had just opened up and a very friendly place and open, Halo’s Restaurant Bar. Jim said I would love his place, he was right, amazing food and a great place to have a weekly jam session. Both new and both a winning hit!

With some of the best Blues musicians, singers and a Country singer. A welcoming place for everyone to sing and play their instruments. People sign up on the white board and Jim Stairs goes down the list to make sure everyone one gets a turn to sing, sing and play an instrument or just play an instrument.

I was overjoyed with some of the best music with no cover charge! Well known singers and musicians like; Mike Mothershed, Bambi Alexandra, Lady J, Trent Boldt, Mike Velasquez, Mick Zampogna, Dave Grebin, Jim Stairs, and many, many others!

Always great music to listen to and sing along. I’ll be back again and again. Thanks to everyone who shares their talent to make these jam sessions happen.
