After the death of Melody Gilbert, the Bird Dogs main female singer, the band didn’t look far to find another powerhouse singer, Ginny Davis.
I did a video interview of the Bird Dogs with Mel, as her friends lovingly called her; Mel died of Cancer. Ginny Davis had sang with the band from time to time and knew the band’s songs. It was hard to replace a star singer, but the band did it. With lots of hard work, they are on their way to being better and bigger than ever.
Every band goes through adjustments. Some are easier than others. With the growing pains of this band, it made them stronger and wiser. The Bird Dogs with Ginny Davis has exceptional skills to harmonize, promote and have a great stage presence.
Each member of the band has exceptional skills in music. Each with decades of practice in a variety of music. Bird Dog is known for their classic rock and Motown music. With a little rock and roll and a spice of country. Also, not forgetting the roots of the gospel to entertain various fans in Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
