I get right to it; Henry Conor is the new member of the Bird Dogs with Ginny Davis. Henry was a part of the Bird Dog band years ago. As a keyboard player and singer, he is a great addition. His incredible voice and energetic style of rhythm on the keyboard make him a perfect new/old member of the Bird Dogs’ history, past and present.
After the significant loss of Melody Gilbert, a superstar musician and lead female singer, the band Bird Dogs has undergone many changes. I think Bird Dogs keeps getting better and better. Adding keyboard player and singer Henry Conor is an intelligent move and adds a little spark and passion to the band.
With Ginny Davis stepping in for Melody Gilbert, Ginny said she thinks as Mel knew she was dying of Cancer so she trained me to replace her. I agree, Mel as everyone called her, had wisdom and compassion beyond anyone I knew.
With the handsome bass player and singer Jerome. He is steadfast and father-like, watching over Ginny and telling her it is good when she starts a song. Ginny tries to be the best she can be for Mel’s legacy of the band. Jerome is an incredible low voice that drives the women mad and stary-eye toward him. I love the shy Jerome looking over Ginny and others in the band. We all need someone who has our back. But Jerome is not the only one who has his bandmates back.
Next, we have the drummer and singer, Jamie. He is perky and fun to be around and always on the beat. He keeps an eye out for his bandmates’ timing and adjustments, whether that means in the music or the singing. Jamie is also a great singer!
On lead guitar, we have David, who is also a singer. He is slow to talk and shy. I have to say, I have more pictures of him over the years. I used to walk up to David, and he would pose even before I asked. I guess after a few years, some people get used to me. A true gentleman and a superb musician. David also has his bandmates back. I see the pattern here with the whole band. Each is a seasoned player in the band, and they love to watch over each other like family. Maybe because they are family. A band family.
