It has been a while since one of my favorite bands played. But here they are, Jerome Johnson on bass guitar and singing, Jamie Farnum on drums and singing, Rollie Haas on lead guitar and singing, and the fabulous Ms. Ginny Davis as lead female singer and backup singer. There have also been a few surprise appearances with Dave Hamm from the Bird Dog band.
Jambone plays classic rock and some country music and wows their fans as groups of people follow Jambone from venue to venue in different areas of the Twin Cities area. The steady fans love to dance and listen to perfection as several singers in the band play and sing each song.
As one of the top bands requested by local VFWs and Legions, it is not by a pick of the draw of a hat. Jambone brings large groups of people in to watch them wherever they go. Of course, this helps out the vets’ organizations by helping fund their programs and still have money to pay the band. The band works hard to achieve perfection.
I once heard a band leader say that his band never practices and that another band was terrible. With Jambone, my friend Ginny is often unavailable to meet up with me because she is at band practice. Each band member practices at home and again as a whole band. They keep practicing till they feel they get it right! And, believe me, they are perfection once they are on any stage.
The band members try new songs and then do not perform that song till they have it just right. With fans, every band knows that you must change the songs you perform, or you will lose your followers. With Jambone, they have the fan’s favorite songs and a few new songs they perform, which wows the crowds.
I see Jambone increasing its fan base and its performances every weekend, including some Wednesday and Thursday events. I know they are always at outdoor, city, county, and fair events. What is next for Jambone? The band is limitless as to how far they want to go. Thanks for coming back after the short break; I love your music.
